The Lure of Network Marketing 

We've seen fortunes made in Network Marketing.
And it is true.
We've seen fortunes lost in Network Marketing
And that is true also.

  

Why such a huge gap?  Simple:  money-greed-hype-ease-false promises-below the belt marketing strategies-and the mentality of "promise the moon and deliver a rotten egg" is abundant in this industry.

Yet, with all the "Negativity" surrounding our great Network Marketing Industry-there is hope-there are "real people" making "real money". 

And I am here to tell you that YES-YOU CAN MAKE MONEY

We made the BIG money in this industry and I paid a heavy price.  It boiled down to my lack of discipline when it came to family matters and business.

Today, we don't make the money (or not like we used to) but I am a happy father, watching my children grow up.  I am a part of their lives again and that is something I will never give up.  I learned how to successfully balance, God-family-business and in that order.

Teaching is in my blood and have been a teacher for over 18 years now. I've been a High School Baseball coach for 10 years and another 6 years at the little league level.  This year I am back to High School.  I've also been teaching network marketing for 7 successful years as well.

Guess what?  The same mental aspects of the game are the same in business.

To succeed in Network Marketing you need:

1.   A Personal Mentor (click here to learn more)
2.   Time to Make Mistakes and Learn From Them  (

3.   Realistic Expectations of Income
4.   You need to present your business without having to talk to someone on the phone
5.   You need a way for people to raise their hand and say:  "contact me-I'm Interested"
6.   You need to have a system that will allow you to contact prospects on a daily basis
7.   You need a business that is affordable to the masses
8.   You need Strong Upline Support (at least 2 people you can count on to be there for you)
9.   You need to have a STRONG desire to succeed
10.  Get HUNGRY.  I call my upline 3 or 4 times a day.  I keep seeking answers without them having to chase me down.  I am eager and I get what I am seeking. (after that point--I am running without looking back). After that point I don't need to call my network marketing sponsor but once a month.


 

"To many people join a business and then sit on their duffs waiting for their sponsor to do the work for them.  Don't fall into that trap.  Don't expect everything to be handed to you on a silver platter.  Instead-be aggressive and get after it. Hound your sponsor, pester them and get ACTIVE".

 

I tell every single person I sponsor into our network marketing business the same thing: Keep asking questions and I will answer every single one of them.

  • 90% or more never ask me questions.  I never receive an email, phone call or anything.
  • 10% of the people we sponsor ask questions-they call us or send an email with questions.

We take the time necessary to educate them and guess what?

These new members are the ones that make the money.  These new network marketers are the members we spend all our time with.  We don't chase after the 90% and do you want to know why?  I bet you already know the answer, don't you?

Don't get me wrong, a sponsor should be someone who is available to assist you whenever humanly possible. They for the most part will have you tap into some type of training and support.  They might even help you contact folks immediately via 3 way calling, but for heavens sake, DON'T WAIT FOR THEM, take the inititive and get moving.  Create an urgency in yourself that can be transmitted through the phone or internet. Show you are hungry and be like a sponge-absorb all that you learn and turn around and teach that right away to your new members.  

Some of you are extremely lucky to have the sponsors you have.  Myself, I love to give away hot prospects to downline members.  I like to spend time with new members and we do spend a lot of time together.  However, it is those who will answer my welcome email that get my attention.  Those who can't even answer my welcome email are telling me something right off the bat.  These are the people who do not receive new members in their downline from me.  Again, I like to sponsor new people and place them on downline members team.  I believe in helping downline members get off to a fast start.  Do you?  What do you offer?  What is your upline giving you?

Let's now explore something that all of us want:

Time is the most precious commodity we have.  Use it wisely and you can build an empire-without sacrificing your faith, family or business.  It's fun, worthwhile and rewarding in more ways than MONEY.

I like to win and winning is more than money.  Once you figure that out, you're chances of succeeding in network marketing are astronomical.  This time around I have learned how to conserve the most precious gift we have: time with family

It's a strategy that I learned from my involvement with Leaders Club and something we teach on a daily basis now.  30-60 minutes a day is all I spend working my business and it is a strategy you can learn as well.  Just ask!
